The effect of the weather upon health is an important factor,
especially when associated with overcrowding and fuel shortage.
It will be interesting to note the effect that the unusual
meteorological conditions of 1946 will have upon the future
health of the children born in that year, and upon the ageing
population who are less able to withstand the rigours of a cold
and sunless year.
