The new school at Southborough became occupied in
1938. It has accommodation for 400 mixed juniors and
infants.
Extensions and alterations were carried out at Raglan
Road School, providing it with modern facilities for
education and sanitation.
Roller towels are a somewhat minor item but nevertheless
important. They have now largely gone out of
use with a resulting lessening in the occurrence of contagious
diseases common to school children.
