Meat and Other Foods.
There are five registered slaughterhouses and three
licensed slaughterhouses in the area. Under the provisions
of the Slaughter of Animals Act, 1933, the Local
Authority granted 19 licences to slaughtermen during
1938.
The following Tables (A—D) give details of figures
relating to carcases inspected and condemned during
1938:—
