Public Health Act, 1936, Child Life Protection.
Persons registered as foster-parents under the above
Act in Bromley are showing satisfactory management
and appreciation of their duties in connexion with the
boarding out of children. We had no occasion to institute
proceedings, and very few minor irregularities of
delay in notifying reception and removal of infants
occurred.
The number of persons who had children under their
care at the end of 1938 was 23, and the number of children
boarded-out was 40, which included a number of
children under the age of 9 years resident in boarding
schools.
