Open Air Education.
jVo special open air school for defective children i>
provided in Bromley. The provision of free convalescent
home treatment for the child needing it is found to be
more economical. There is, however, an ever increasing
demand for special education for the debilitated, crippled
and otherwise physically defective child, and no doubt at
some time in the future a special school will be established
in Bromley. At present we meet the demand by using the
institutions and schools provided by larger education
authorities.
Physical Training.
During 1937, a site of approximately six acres
acquired adjacent to the Valley Council School for use as
a playing field for the schools in the central area of the
