ailments and to those conditions which can only be
provided by specialist officers, such as, orthopaedic, eye,
ear, nose and throat, and dental clinics.
In medical inspection of school children to-day it is
apparent that there is an increase in the anxiety neuroses,
brought about by the mental strain of present day life
of a child both at home and at school. To combat this,
and to fit the child for an adult life under probably greater
strain, we must continue to do all in our power to provide
for the physical and mental health of the child at school
and to educate the parents in the application of common
sense psychology.
The report follows the usual lines, containing in the
appendix the statistical records of the year's work.
