Appendices IX. and X. give incidence and particulars
of cases of tuberculosis in Bromley in 1934. The current
register shows no less than 370 cases suffering from the
infection in either a mild or severe degree. This is
equivalent to 7.01 per one thousand population—a high
incidence—but it includes many cases in a non-infectious
state.
Eighty-nine new cases were notified or otherwise revealed
to me during 1934, of which 74 were pulmonary and
15 non-pulmonary cases, whilst 19 cases died—12
pulmonary and seven non-pulmonary.

culosis in Bromley since 1925. This indicates a fall in

incidence.
