Of the 100 licences issued, 92 were renewals and
eight were new or additional licences. Included in the
total of 100 licences are 22 licences for combined bulk and
can storage.
Two hundred and forty-three visits to storage places
were made during 1934.

X.—FACTORIES AND WORKSHOPS.
Appendix XIV. gives details of statistics with regard
to inspections and defects in factories, workshops and
workplaces. There are 480 of these premises on the
register.
XI.—PREMISES AND OCCUPATIONS CONTROLLED
BY BYE-LAWS, REGULATIONS, ETC.
Four thousand nine hundred and eighty-one visits of
inspection were made to the following premises and
occupations controlled by Bye-laws, Regulations, etc.,
i.e., Bakehouses, Butchers' premises, Cinemas, Confectionery,
Ice Cream, etc., Dairies, Cowsheds and
Milkshops, Factories, Workshops, Workplaces and
Outworkers' premiees, Fish shops, Food hawkers, Food
shops, Hotels, Restaurants, etc., Licensed premises (public
houses), Nursing Homes, Offensive trade (tallow melting),
Petroleum Spirit Stores (licenced), Piggeries, Poisons and
Pharmacy (licenced), Rag and Bone dealers, Registry
Offices, Shops, various, Slaughterhouses, Stables and
Tents, Vans and Sheds.
