Three state certified midwives, on the staff of the
Association, undertake midwifery and maternity work.
The Association since June, 1932, has undertaken this
nursing service throughout the greater portion of the
Borough. No fee is charged for general nursing, but
patients are asked to contribute as much as they can
afford. A fixed fee of £2 2s. 0d. is charged for midwifery
and maternity cases, though in cases of economic necessity
this may be reduced.
