The total number of cases receiving our aid was 403,
at a cost of £125 12s. 1d.
The following up of the cases and the home visits
give an opportunity of realising the difficulties, financial
and otherwise, of the parents.
The Committee has to thank Colonel Satterthwaite
for allotting a larger number of convalescent letters for
school children, especially owing to our loss of Mrs.
Parfect, who, much to our regret, has been unable to
take any children this year. The Committee has also to
thank Mr. Harris for his generosity in giving so many
spectacles free to necessitous cases.
