Appended to the report is a table of certain rates which
I have compiled since my appointment as Medical Officer of
Health. The table is instructive, supplying as it does a
good deal of information concerning the district's vital
statistics during the last 30 years.
During the year Dr. Ruth E. Proctor, Assistant Medical
Officer of Health and Assistant School Medical Officer, resigned,
and Dr. Anna M. K. O'Halloran replaced her. Dr.
O'Halloran's duties are principally concerned with School
Medical Inspection, and the Council's scheme of pre-natal
hygiene. She also, however, participates in the general
work of the Medical Officer of Health's Department, and
deputises in that officer's absence.
It is with pleasure that I record the very helpful and
efficient services which Mr. Butler and oither members of
the staff of the Health Department have put at my disposal
during the year under review.
I have the honour to be,
Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
W. STEWART STALKER.
Municipal Offices,
Bromley, Kent.
May, 1924.
