GENERAL SANITARY CONDITIONS
Refuse Collection and Disposal
(a) It has been possible to maintain the weekly collection of house and trade refuse
throughout the district and the twice daily collection at London Airport notwithstanding
the difficulties due to the shortage of labour.
(b) Refuse Disposal by "controlled tipping" has been carried out on two sites—viz.
Stockley and Moor Lane, Harmondsworth. In addition reclamation of filled
land has progressed satisfactorily throughout the year.
