Public Health Department,
Ashburton House,
Wood Green, N.22.
June 3rd, 1938.
To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors
of the Borough of Wood Green.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I beg to present to you my Annual Report as Medical Officer
of Health for the year 1937.
The twelve months under review have been uneventful from
the health point of view, the incidence of infectious disease low,
and the vital statistics on the whole, satisfactory, although the
rise in the birth-rate recorded a year ago has not been fully
maintained.
I desire to express my thanks to the Chairmen of the Public
Health and Maternity and Child Welfare Committees, and to the
Council generally for the consideration and help which I have
received, and to every member of the Health Department for loyal
and willing co-operation at all times.
Your Obedient Servant,
MALCOLM MANSON.
Medical Officer of Health.
