station situated in Tottenham. Here the sewage is pumped into
the London County Council's sewers, by arrangements with that
Council. The pumping station and main sewer in Lordship Lane
are under! the control of a Joint Drainage Committee, consisting of
representatives from Tottenham and Wood Green.
The surface-water drains discharge into the Council's surfacewater
sewers through which the surface-water flows into the Moselle
and Muswell Brooks, and by these is carried finally into the RivetLee.
BATHS.
The open-air Swimming Pool in Durnsford Road, and the
Public Baths in Western Road, continue to be well patronised,
although the record of attendances during the first year shows a
considerable falling off in numbers. So far as the Swimming Pool is
concerned this was no doubt due to the prevalence of cold wet
weather throughout part of the summer months, while at Western
Road, the closure of the bath for reconstruction was the cause of
the reduced attendances. Both baths are provided with efficient
systems of filtration and chlorination which ensures the safety and
attractiveness of the water.
The attendances at the Swimming Pool in Durnsford Road, the
Western Road Baths and the open-air bath on the racecourse at
Alexandra Park for the last three years are shown below:—
