BIRTHS.
There were 740 births, as against 762 in 1924.
The births were:—374 males and 366 females; of these 17 were
illegitimate (viz., 12 males and 5 females).
This corresponds to an annual rate of 14.24, as compared with
14.69 per thousand of the population in 1924.
The birth-rate for the 105 great towns (which included Wood
Green) was 18.8 per 1,000 of the population.
The number of births occurring outside the District was 72
(included in the above figure).
The following table gives the number of births registered within the District, and the birth-rate for each Ward:—
