Brook Road.—Friday, 1.30 to 4 p.m. (changed from Friday to
Thursday in November, 1920).
Lordship Lane.—Wednesday, 1.30 to 4 p.m.; Thursday, 9.30 to
12 noon. 1.30 to 4 p.m.
From the tables which I give below it will be seen that the
attendances have considerably increased at all the Centres.
The total attendances at the Child Welfare Centres in 1916
were 3,113, the attendances for 1920 have been 16,953.
I have taken 1916, being the first year when a fully qualified
Maternity Nurse was first employed in the work of child welfare,
it will thus be seen the enormous increase there has been in the
number attending the Centres.
I perhaps ought to mention that in the year 1916 there was
only one Centre established.
Miss Wadds resigned during the year, having obtained another
appointment, and Miss Rich took her place.
The Annual Garden Party was held in conjunction with Housing
Bond Week, and fortunately the weather proved all that could
be desired. In addition, later on in the year, a Social and Concert
were held at the Trinity Hall Centre, and proved a great success.
I have again to thank the Voluntary Helpers for their work
in connection with the Child Welfare Centres, and the social functions
which I have mentioned above.
