CASES REFERRED FROM THE EDUCATION

The Education Secretary forwards to this Department all cases

Investigations into 324 of the above cases were made by the

and severe cases of sore throats were referred to me for examination
and taking swabs.
GENERAL METHODS OF DEALING WITH INFECTIOUS
CASES.
Upon receipt of notification, prompt investigations are made
into each case, and efforts made to discover the history of infection
and any contacts.
Cases requiring removal are taken to the Isolation Hospital
by ambulance as expeditiously as possible.
Day and Sunday Schools are notified, also the Librarian, of
all cases and contacts.
