Legal Proceedings.
I am glad to be able to report that it was not found necessary
to take any legal proceedings during the year.
House to House Inspection.
The Council have always made a special point of Systematic House Inspection, and the following will give some idea of the work done under this heading during the year.

A systematic record is kept of all houses inspected under this
head.
A slight diminution in the number of houses inspected will
be noted this year, which is due to being without an Assistant
Inspector for two months, owing to the resignation of Mr. Hill, and
before Mr. Drake was appointed and could take up his duties.
