THE THIRTEENTH ANNUAL REPORT
on the
WILLESDEN MATERNITY HOSPITAL
for the year 1943.
By ARNOLD WALKER, M.A., M.B., B.Ch., F.R.C.S., F.R.C.O.G.
The fall in the number of cases dealt with in 1943 is due to the reduction in the number booked over a period
to allow wards to be closed in turn for repairs and decorations.
Two deaths occurred during the year, both from incidental heart disease. The first was a case of infective
endocarditis and the second a case of acute heart failure in a patient under the care of a cardiologist.
