(6) The following are the salaries paid to Laboratory Technicians by certain Authorities:—
(a) Borough of Willesden—
42/3 per week (£110 per annum).
(b) London County Council—
Grade C 45/- to 60/- per week.

„ A 90/-to 110/- „ ,,
A (Senior) 110/-to 130/- ,, ,,
(c) Middlesex County Council—
Assistant 35/-to 60/-per week.
Senior Assistant £240 10s. 0d. to £286 per annum.
(d) Government of Southern Rhodesia—
£375 by £25 to £600 per annum.
(e) Laboratory Assistants' Association Scale—
Improver 40/- per week.
Junior Assistant 70/- ,, ,,
Senior Assistant £250 to £300 per annum.
Chief Assistant £300 to £450 ,, ,,
(7) The following suggestions are made as to the future terms of appointment of the Laboratory
Assistant:—
(1) The post be a permanent and established one with one month's notice on either side;
(2) The salary be on a progressive scale. It is suggested that the basis be that of Improver
(40/-) to Junior Assistant (70/-) of the Laboratory Assistants' Association Scale.
(3) The holder of the post be required to pass the examination for the Certificate of the
Laboratory Assistants' Association within two years of becoming eligible to sit for the
examination.
