Willesden County School.— In 1 instance (boys), and in 1 instance (girls), the School Medical
Inspector noted on re-inspection that the tonsils had been removed.
Willesden Polytechnic Building and Engineering Trade School (Boys).—Nil noted.
Willesden School of Art (Boys and Girls).—Nil noted.
Convent of Jesus and Mary (Girls).—Nil noted.
Brondesbury and Kilburn High School (Girls).—Nil noted.
Group IV.— Orthopædic and Postural Defects.
Orthopædic work is not done in connection with the Secondary Schools in Willesden.
Group V.— Dental Defects.
Vide, 18th Annual Report on Dental Work in connection with School children, Expectant
and Nursing Mothers, and children under 5 years, herewith, pages 57-62.
Group VI.— Uncleanliness and Verminous Conditions.
Inspection and treatment of uncleanliness are not undertaken by the School Nurses in the
Secondary and Trade Schools.
Treatment of other Types of Defects.
(a) The measures adopted for providing treatment or for securing improvement:—
No measures have been adopted by the Authority for providing treatment.
Notices were sent to parents informing them of the conditions requiring treatment, and the
Head Teachers were notified of conditions requiring special exercises and the like. Pupils with
defects referred for treatment or requiring to be kept under observation were referred for re-examination
at a subsequent visit of the School Medical Inspector.
