Hospital Buildings.
(1) The cubicle pavilion which was brought into use during September, 1929, has proved of
invaluable service in the administration of the hospital. A total of 137 cases were treated in it during
1930, without any cross infection. The number of cubicle beds is, however, too small for the number
of cases which should be dealt with by this method, and the Council have decided to proceed with
the erection of the two other pavilions, the building of which has been postponed owing to certain
objections raised by the Ministry of Health.
(2) It has been decided to replace the old fashioned kitchen ranges in the ward duty rooms
by electric stoves, and this improvement is now nearly completed.
(3) A fully equipped lecture room for the nurses has been established, and is proving of great
service in the teaching of the probationer nursing staff.
