THE ELEVENTH ANNUAL REPORT
FOR THE
Year ending 31st December, 1930,
ON THE
HEALTH OF PUPILS ATTENDING SECONDARY
SCHOOLS IN WILLESDEN.
Giving the Tables required by the Board of Education.
Kilburn Grammar School—Boys.
Willesden Polytechnic Trade School—Girls.
Willesden County School—Boys and Girls.
Willesden Polytechnic Building Trade School—Boys.
The modified arrangements of the Middlesex Education Committee for Medical Inspection
in Secondary Schools as set out in the letter of the Divisional Organising Officer, dated 16th January,
1926, require that medical inspection of pupils in these schools shall take place as follows:—
(1) All pupils to be examined on commencing education in a Secondary School, such
examination to be carried out before the close of the term in which a pupil is
admitted.
(2) All pupils to be examined at the age of 12 years.
(3) All pupils to be examined at the age of 15 years.
(4) In addition to the above routine groups, Headmasters and Mistresses to bring to
the notice of the Medical Officers as " specials " any pupils suspected of being
unfit.
Arrangements have therefore been made to carry out medical inspection in Secondary Schools
in accordance with the above schedule.
In any term pupils are examined as follows:—
(1) Pupils admitted during the current term.
(2) Pupils who reached the age of 12 years during the preceding term.
(3) Pupils who reached the age of 15 years during the preceding term
(4) Special cases.
At the end of the year the Middlesex County Council was in negotiation with the Willesden
Council with respect to a scheme of treatment for Defective Vision and Dental Defects.
