APPENDIX H.
To the Chairman and Members of the Children's Care Committee.
MENTALLY DEFECTIVE CHILDREN.—DULL AND BACKWARD
CHILDREN.
I beg to report in accordance with the following minute of the Children's Care Committee of
the 6th March, 1925 :—
"No. 2381, A.G. (24.5.15)-—Mentally Deficient.
14.-—With reference to our report of 4th February, 1925, (par. 11), the parent refuses to
allow this child to attend the Leinster Road M.D. School and desires more time to consider
this matter. We have therefore requested the Medical Officer to make satisfactory
arrangements, having regard to the circumstances of the case. We are of opinion, however,
that the question of forming classes for dull and backward children should be thoroughly
considered and have instructed the Medical Officer to submit to us at a later date
a full report regarding this matter from the medical point of view."
