Midwives—Employment of, or subsidy to, practising Midwives, by Public Health Authority.
The Council pays the fees of Midwives in home confinement cases where the economic
circumstances of the patient are below the Council's scale. The fee agreed with the North West
Middlesex Midwives' Association is £1 lis. 6d., but for a first confinement, £2 2s.
The number of Midwives who at the beginning of 1925 had notified the Middlesex County
Council of their intention to practise in Willesden during 1925 was 22, one of whom was
engaged in an institution.
