(3) Invalid Children's Aid Association:—
Aims and Methods.—To obtain for the children the best medical advice and treatment
available, and to equip them as far as possible to earn their living in the future, by:—
(1) Arranging for the necessary treatment in Hospitals or Nursing Homes.
(2) Providing Convalescent Treatment.
(3) Sending away for prolonged boarding-out in the country.
(4) Providing surgical instruments and carriages.
(5) Regular visiting in their own homes.
The parents of the children are expected to contribute according to their means towards the
cost of the treatment.
Three Branches of this Association are at work in Willesden, viz.:—
(a) The Willesden Branch, Hon. Secretary, Miss Emmeline Fisher, 14, Aylestone Avenue,
Brondesbury Park, N.W. 6.

(b) The Paddington and Kilburn Branch, Hon. Secretary, Miss Streatfeild, 9, Craven
Terrace, Lancaster Gate, W. 2.
(c) The Edgar Lee Home for Invalid Boys, 14, Stonebridge Park. The Home is for boys
of 5 to 14 years of age suffering from Heart Disease and Rheumatism. It accommodates
22 boys who stay at the Home for periods of from 3 months upwards.
(4) Kilburn, Maida Vale and St. John's Wood General Dispensary, 13, Kilburn Park Road,
Hon. Secretary, R. Newnham Davis, Esq., M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., 19, Greville Road, N.W. 6.
The Dispensary deals with cases occurring in Willesden South of Dyne Road and Winchester
Avenue, and East of Salusbury Road, i.e., about half of North Kilburn and practically the whole
of Mid Kilburn and South Kilburn.
