The following table shews the number of these children belonging to Willesden in 1915-16-17,
based on the incomplete medical inspection records for these years:—

Proposals.—Having regard to these numbers it is suggested that these children continue to
be sent to institutions maintained by voluntary societies as hitherto.
Estimated Costs.—Based on charges at 15/9/19, the cost of the education of epileptic children
lor 1919-20 is as follows:-
Epileptic Schools.—6 attending. £ s. d.
6 Residential Scholars 373 2 0
Less Parents' Contributions 59 16 0
£313 6 0
Less Government Grant of 50 per cent. 156 13 0
Net Cost £156 13 0
With the Acts in full operation and with the provision of additional accommodation, which
is scarce, it is likely that the number of children in institutions would be increased by at least 50
per cent. and the net cost would become approximately £235 per annum.
