The daily average number of patients in hospital varies
from GO to 120 or over.
The Board of Education in Circular 950, dated 12th
May, 1916, state that they consider that in the event of
temporary curtailment of the School Medical Service provision
should at any rate be made for the medical inspection
of children at all ages, who appear to be ailing, and for the
maintenance of any treatment undertaken by the Authority.
This is all that at present is being done. Arrangements
have been made in the foregoing Schedule for all the schools
to be visited twice per annum by the Medical Staff, to ascertain
what children appear to be ailing, and, in addition,
ailing children are referred by the teachers at the average
rate of 92 per week.
The number of attendances at the Dyne Road Inspection
Clinic on Saturday mornings averages 40.
The number of attendances at the Leopold Road Inspection
Clinic averages 30.
