Having regard, therefore, to all the foregoing circumstances,
I am of opinion that the time has come when it is
desirable to earmark a sum of £1,500 to be provided in next
year's estimate for the completion of the treatment of school
children, i.e., the treatment of minor ailments, dental treat'
ment, and the operative treatment of adenoids and enlarged
tonsils, and the relief of the congestion at the Eye Clinic
as far as this sum will go.
Half of this amount, that is £750, would be repayable
by the Board of Education.
I am, your obedient Servant,
GEORGE F. BUCHAN,
Medical Officer.
APPENDIX I.
4th December, 1916.
To the Chairman and Members of the
Hospital Committee.

Committee to report fully to them at their next Meeting,
the measures which should be taken in Willesden
in connection therewith."
In accordance with these instructions I beg to report on
Hospital Treatment, referred to in Clause 20 of the Circular
