The work clone by the actual Home Workers is very intermittent
and is usually done to supplement the income and not as a means of
livelihood.
The conditions under which the work is done are usually ver}'
satisfactory, but the outworkers, generally speaking, are wanderers,
working only for short periods, and constantly changing their dwelling
places. 41 outworkers have removed or given up work since 1909.
