Gentlemen,
In accordance with your instructions, I have
the honour to submit the following report on a
bye-law relating to the open space to be provided
in connection with the back additions of new
houses, which has been allowed by the Local
Government Board upon the application of the
Urban District Council of Barnes
In calling the attention of the Public Health
Committee to this bye-law, I was influenced by
the fact that the bye-laws at present in operation
in Willesden fail to prevent the erection of a type
of house, becoming increasingly common, which
cannot be regarded, from the point of view of
healthy housing, as other than most undesirable.
