DEATHS.
The deaths registered in the District were 1,313 : males, 630;
females, 683. Those registered outside the District of persons
belonging to it were 206, giving a total of 1,519. There were 13
deaths registered in the District of persons not belonging to it,
making 1,506 deaths properly accredited to the District. The crude
death-rate for the year is 8.6 per 1,000. Corrected for deaths of
residents dying outside the District and of non-residents dying within,
it is 9 8 per 1,000. Corrected for the age and sex distribution of
Willesden's population it is 10.5.
The death-rate, it will be observed, is the lowest recorded. This
highly satisfactory result must in part be ascribed to favourable
meteorological conditions, which it is scarcely to be expected will
continue to operate in future years.
The death-rates for the last eight years, corrected for residents
dying outside the district, and for non-residents dying within, are as
follows:—
1903 1904 1905 1906 1907 1908 1909 1910
12.8 12.2 12.4 11.8 11.8 10.9 11.29.8
