CANCER.
The total number of deaths from cancer was 111.
In the following table the deaths from cancer are distributed
according to age and sex in each Ward of the District.
The death-rate from cancer is nearly identical with that of
last year, namely .825 as compared with .827 per 1,000.
8.5 per cent of the deaths from cancer among females occurred
in Hospital, but of males the proportion dying in Hospital rose to
34'8 per cent. The total number of deaths among females was
68, among males 43.
