GEOLOGICAL CHARACTER OF DISTRICT. I am indebted to Messrs. McVitie & Price for their kindness in furnishing me with the following new facts concerning the underlying Strata, as discovered by a boring at their works in Willesden.

Details of Strata discovered during boring of Artesian Well at Messrs. McVitie & Price's, Lower Place. Total depth 837 feet. Boring commenced the middle of June, 1902, finished the end of August, 1902.
