INFANTILE MORTALITY.
Of the 79 deaths which occurred in children who never
celebrated their first birthday, 35 occurred within the first week
of life (44.3 per cent), while 47 occurred within the first four
weeks of life (59.5 per cent).
In the following table are shewn the numbers of infant
deaths from the various causes, according to age at death:-
