SUPPLY OF MILK.
An economic circumstances scale adopted by the Council
governs the supply of milk, and in accordance with the same
183 families received grants of free milk during the year, for
expectant mothers, nursing mothers or children under the age
of three years, and in certain "Special" cases for children
between three and five years.
In addition 54 children received Cod Liver Oil, Virol,
or Emulsion.
MATERNAL MORTALITY
Generally—and as Affecting the District.
Taking the combined districts now called Wembley, the
Maternal Mortality Rate has been and may be stated now to
be 3.11 per 1,000 births.
This rate shows a decrease on last year which we hope
will continue.

Chairman and Secretary, and in this way are doing very
useful work with the mothers and children in the matter of
clothing, cooking and general welfare work.
