the Barnet Urban District Council.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have pleasure in presenting to you my Annual Report on the health of the
district for the year 1961.
It is drawn up in accordance with the directions of the Ministry of Health
Circular 1/62 of the 18th January, 1962.

NATURAL AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS.
The population is largely residential, and consists chiefly of people whose
occupation lies outside the urban area. Those employed in the district,
apart from the tradesmen and their employees, are mainly skilled workers in
light industries.
