slaughtermen who retain for our inspection on the following day any carcase
presenting signs of disease or injury.
The majority of the condemned meat and offals is taken away by a reputable firm
for manufacture into useful by-products, e.g. fertilisers etc.

The percentage of bovines affected by Tuberculosis shows a sharp decline again this year and we see a decrease in the percentage of pigs affected with the disease.
