the Barnet Urban District Council.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have pleasure in presenting to you Annual Report on the health of the
district for the year 1958.
It is drawn up in accordance with the directions of the Ministry of Health
Circular 22/58 of the 9th December, 1958.

NATURAL AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS.
The population i3 largely residential, and consists chiefly of people whose
occupation lies outside the urban area. Those employed in the district, apart
from the tradesmen and their employees, are mainly skilled workers in light
industries.
