As mentioned earlier in this report, where the number of cases is less than,
say, 10, case rates are of little statistical value for comparison purposes.
VACCINATION.
No primary or revaccinations were performed by the Medical Officer of Health
under the Public Health (Smallpox Prevention) Regulations, I917.
INTERNATIONAL VACCINATION CERTIFICATES.
At the end of 1952 a new form was introduced for International Vaccination
Certificates requiring authentication of the signature of the doctor performing
vaccination or inoculation of persons proceeding overseas. During this year 677
such certificates were authenticated and marked with the internationally agreed
stamp.

The Public Health (Tuberculosis) Regulations, 1952, which came into
operation in May 1952, rescinded an earlier Regulation which required the local
