The five unsatisfactory samples of Tuberculin Tested (Farm Bottled) milk
were obtained from two dealers. Copies of the unsatisfactory reports are
forwarded to the County Milk Regulations Officer for his action,
Two samples of milk submitted for biological examination vere reported
positive to Brucella Abortus. The farm concerned was visited: it was found
that no milk was sold by retail and that all milk was already being dispatched
to a local plant for pasteurisation.
No official action was taken under Regulation 20 of the Milk and Dairies
Regulations 1949, to stop or restrict the sale of milk.
No cases of disease were notified which could be attributed to the
consumption of infected milk.

Nine Dealer's Licences and twenty-one Supplementary Licences were granted for the retail sale of milk under the Milk (Special Designation)(Raw Milk) Regulations, 1949 and 1950, and the Milk (Special Designation)(Pasteurised and Sterilised Milk) Regulations, 1949 and 1950, viz:-
