RODENT CONTROL.
On March 31st, 1-949, the Council accepted the delegated powers of the
Herts County Council under the Rats and Mice Destruction Act, 1919, and on
March 31st, 1950, the Council became the appropriate authority for the
enforcement of the provisions of the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act,
1949-
A full time rodent operator is employed for treatment of infestations
of rats and mice. The table below gives details of the work carried out.
