That Diphtheria Immunisation has boon successful is undoubted when
considering the number of oases notified during the war years of 19391945
compared with previous years.
The average number of oases per year during the seven years of war,
when conditions were pre-disposing to on increase in the spread of the
disease, was two, whereas, for the seven years immediately preceding the
war the average was approaching 20 oases per year.
