COMPARATIVE MORTALITY OF THE SUB-DISTRICTS.
Due to the unreliability of the estimate of population in the Sub-Districts
it might be misleading to draw any definite conclusions The most reliable
figures, namely the deaths under one year per 1,000 births, show Gray's Inn
Lane sub-district to have the highest and Kentish Town the lowest infantile
mortality, but Somers Town shows the highest mortality for Measles, Whooping
Cough, and Diarrhoea, essentially diseases of childhood.
