DEATHS.
During the year the corrected total number of deaths from all causes at all
ages was 4794, being 511 more than during the preceding year, and 62 below
the annual average of the preceding ten years. Per 1000 of population, the
death-rate was 20.3, compared with 18.1 in the previous year, and an annual
average of 20.5 in the preceding decennium.
