During 1963, 68 medical examinations were carried out in
respect of the new entrants to the Council's service.
In addition to these medical examinations, a considerable
number of medical reports were obtained from family doctors and
hospital consultants concerning employees absent from duty through
sickness for more than a short period. In this connection, it is a
pleasure to acknowledge the courtesy and Co-operation which I have
invariably received from the General Practitioners in Southgate.
