In the Borough there are 331 premises registered under Section
16 of the Food and Drugs Act, 1955, 236 in respect of ice cream
and 95 in respect of preserved foods.
Under the provisions of the Middlesex County Council Act,
1950, relating to hawkers of food and their premises, there were
98 hawkers on the register at the end of 1962. Of these, 24 have
storage premises in the Borough and 74 have their storage premises
in other areas.
Post-Mortem Inspection of Animals
No slaughtering of animals took place in the Borough during
1962.
