Council not decided to adopt the progressive policy which it did.
The National Health Service Act has definitely divorced curative
from preventive medicine for the first time in the history of this
country. One must accept this fact, whether one likes it or not,
and remember our Hospital as an outstanding example of the
smaller type of institution provided by wise and far-seeing Councils
for the benefit of the community.
