The following premises are under periodical inspection.
With the exception of a few minor breaches of the Regulations (which were at once remedied on the attention of the occupiers being drawn to them), they have been satisfactorily carried on.

The fish and fruit shops are kept well under observation.
The duties under the Food and Drugs Acts are administered
by the Middlesex County Council.
One of the Slaughter-houses at Southgate is an old
building. This has now become insufficient for present-day
needs. Plans have been prepared for a new building designed
in accordance with modern ideas, and they are to be
placed before the Council early in the New Year. The
structure will have walls of brick, the slaughter-chamber will
be lined with glazed bricks, and there will be proper
