To the Chairman and Members of the
Southgate Urban District Council.
Mb. Chairman, Mrs. Fairfield, and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present to you my Report for the
year 1921.
The Minister of Health will not require in future Reports
of a full and detailed character, designated "Survey Reports,"
more than once in every five years. The Report for 1920 will be
treated as constituting the first of the series of "Survey Reports."
The Report for 1921 will, therefore, be what is designated an
Ordinary Report,' omitting details as to conditions which do
not vary from year to year, and curtailing the information asked
for in " Survey " year.
The Report of the Sanitary Inspector, Mr. W. C.
Kilby, is included, and which, as usual, constitutes an excellent
record of good and useful sanitary work done by him and his
assistants during the year, and to whom my thanks are due for
valuable assistance in compiling this Report.
I should also like to tender my thanks to the Public
Health, and Maternity Committees, for their courtesy and support
throughout the year.
I am, Mrs. Fairfield and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
A. SIDNEY RANSOME.
1922.
